The women on your website all look like models. Can I really do this?
The women on my website are real, everyday women, just like you. My experience with photographing women for over 12 years, combined with our secret “recipe” of only the best spray tan, hair and makeup artists in the area, has resulted in turning everyday women into models.
If you book with me, I will work with you every step of the way. From wardrobe to preparing for your session to coaching you on how to flow and breathe through your session so that you too can look like a model.
How far in advance should I book my session?
It’s recommended to book your session one to two months in advance, however, you can always contact us to see if we have available spots.
Where do portrait sessions take place?
These sessions are done either in studio or on location, depending on the look and feel that you want to see in your images.
Do you offer hair and makeup?
YES! I want all my clients to feel their very best for the photoshoot. On the day of your session, prior to your appointment time, you will go see our partner Chosen Canvas Beauty Bar. Jonna is the owner and she recently opened up her own location after working with us for the past year. Her beauty bar is located just a 10 minute drive from the studio and located in Hamilton, just off the Redhill. Jonna or one of her trusted team members will be there to service you. They will talk to you about a look that is just right for your style and session. You will absolutely LOVE working with Chosen Canvas Beauty Bar prior to the shoot. It makes for an outstanding experience!
When do you book your sessions for?
Sessions are booked Monday to Friday. If we are doing a session outdoors then we will be shooting most likely in the evening. If you need a weekend appointment, please let us know. There is an additional fee for Saturday appointments and Sarah is off Sundays.
How much do you edit?
Once you have makeup done and the way that I photograph women and use light, typically requires minimal photoshop editing. I use angles and strategic poses to assist with problem areas that my clients see on themselves. I will remove blemishes, scars and touch up under eyes in my post processing of the final images. My post processing is more about colour, contrast, skin-perfecting, sharpening, ect.
What should I wear?
It is recommended to have 3-4 looks prepared for your session. I will work with you on styling your session.
Will you use my images on your website?
I would absolutely love to use your images from our session to show other women how amazing your photos are. However, I understand if you or your significant other might be uncomfortable sharing them. I will not share unless you grant permission.
